of the rent

CLIENT

The customer by signing these rental details confirms that: He has read, understood and accepts the general terms and conditions of rental (contained in the rental documents). In particular, he/she confirms that the rental vehicle is in the condition indicated in the vehicle condition statement and accepts liability in respect of further damage or loss of the vehicle, in accordance with the general terms and conditions.

  • You agree to take out the coverages and optional services listed in the charge and to pay the total charges and any other sums arising during the rental, in accordance with the terms and conditions. You also agree that BLAUCAR may charge your credit/debit card sufficient up to the amount of the total charges, as well as charge any sums owed by the client, which may result from the contractual relationship granted herein.

The price includes rental for the period of time requested by the customer, compulsory insurance with the corresponding excess for each category and VAT.

  • Mileage is included free of charge up to 300km/day for the first 3 days. For longer journeys, please consult promotions directly via email, telephone or whatsapp with our sales representatives. Except in special promotions where the kilometres included will be indicated.
  • Not included: fuel, Adblue, refuelling of electric vehicles and fines.

- The cost to the customer for the management of fines is €12.

Requirements for the delivery of the car: You will be required to show your original ID card or passport, original driver's license and credit card.

  • Cancellation policy: for booked reservations, the deposit or 200€ for each vehicle will be charged. If cancellation is made within 48 hours prior to collection of the vehicle, 100% will be charged.
  • Once the reservation has been confirmed and the mandatory reservation fee has been paid, if the vehicle is delivered or the reservation is fulfilled within 24 hours prior to delivery, no refund will be made for any reservation made.
  • Fuel policy: at BLAUCAR, we deliver the vehicle with a full tank of fuel and the customer returns it with a full tank. If it is not possible to refuel and you return the vehicle with less fuel, you must inform the company staff before leaving the premises and pay the corresponding amount or it will be charged to your payment card.

Fuel charge fee: +5€.

  • In the event that the vehicle suffers a breakdown due to incorrect fuel, the customer will be responsible for the costs that may arise, such as: emptying the tank, the consequent possible breakdown, filling the correct fuel, and travel (€2.50 incl. VAT per kilometre there and back and the tow truck if not covered by insurance).

In addition to the HABITUAL insurance. At BLAUCAR we offer different possibilities with an extra supplement to reduce the excess.

The excess corresponds to each side of the vehicle (front, rear, right and left). Underbody and roof of the vehicle are never included, so the damage will be paid by the customer.

You should bear in mind that, even if you take out our coverage supplements, even though it is a superior coverage, it has some exclusions:

  • Incorrect refuelling.
  • Lost or broken keys.
  • Possible damage caused by driving on poorly paved areas, tracks or flooded areas.
  • Possible damage due to misuse.
  • Possible damage to the interior of the vehicle (burns, holes, etc.).
  • Possible damage to vehicle locks.
  • Possible damage, loss or theft of the vehicle (antenna, windscreen wiper blades, GPS, child seats, tray, triangles, waistcoats, fuel cap, spare wheel, puncture kit, etc.).
  • Contracting own damage cover included, or any of its possible extra covers, does not exempt from payment of the compulsory deposit by means of a valid credit/debit card.

In our web booking platform the cost of the delivery and return of the vehicles is indicated in each town/city.

The customer is responsible for processing all documents required by law in the event of a public service. Transport card, etc.

  • Second driver: 15€ per day incl. VAT up to a maximum of 60€ incl. VAT per contract.
  • Novice driver: up to 25 years, € 35 per day incl. VAT up to a maximum of € 75 incl. VAT per contract.
  • Loss of keys: 500€ VAT not included.
  • G.P.S.: 8€ per day incl. VAT up to a maximum of 75€ incl. VAT.
  • Baby chair: 15€ per day incl. VAT up to a maximum of 75€ incl. VAT.
  • Child booster: 9€ per day incl. VAT up to a maximum of 75€ incl. VAT.
  • Ski rack: 15€ per service 150€ for breakage or loss - Snow chains - SNOW RUBBERS 15€ per service 150€ for loss or breakage
  • Roof box: 80€ per service 650€ per loss or breakage
  • Roof rack bars for vans 60€ per service - 300€ per breakage or loss
  • Trailer ball hitch 60€ per service - 1500€ for breakage or serious damage
  • Possible breakage or loss of GPS: 200 incl. VAT.
  • Police immobilisation 500 € VAT INCLUDED + 80 €/day transport and collection.
  • Vehicle with dirt such as dirt, animal hair, or similar: 90 incl. VAT.
  • Extremely dirty vehicle: 175 incl. VAT.
  • Fines management fee: 12 € incl. VAT for each procedure (does not include payment of the penalty in any case).
  • Possible return of a vehicle to the wrong place: 60 incl. VAT.
  • Possible abandonment of a vehicle: 2000€ incl. VAT.
  • Possible roadside assistance in areas not covered by the company: 300 € vat included as a penalty in addition to the amount of the cost of rescue by private tow truck.
  • Smoking inside a vehicle: 100 incl. VAT.

By signing the rental contract, the renter authorises BLAUCAR to charge the renter's credit card for any extra charges incurred due to misuse of the vehicle, such as traffic fines, damage not covered by insurance, extra days, damage caused to the vehicle due to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, damage caused by an unauthorised driver, damage due to spontaneous atmospheric phenomena such as a cloudburst or similar, etc.

In the event of atmospheric damage caused by storms of heavy rain or stones that are not decreed as a catastrophic area where the insurance compensation consortium acts as a replacement for the damage caused, the client must pay the excesses that affect the vehicle with the corresponding contracted excess for each model.

The hirer of the vehicle undertakes not to carry out the following acts:

  • Transporting dangerous goods or heavy materials.
  • Transporting more passengers than permitted by the vehicle's technical data sheet.
  • Letting anyone drive who is not expressly authorised in the contract.

In case of loss of keys, the customer must pay the cost of these, if we also have to take them to where the vehicle is, you will have to pay € 0.90 incl. VAT per kilometre round trip.

The theft of objects from inside the rented vehicle is not covered by any type of insurance, so it is recommended not to leave valuables in plain view. Likewise, in the event of a claim for theft of objects inside the vehicle, the insurance does not cover any damage caused to the vehicle other than that expressly contracted by the lessee.

BLAUCAR is not responsible for objects that may be left inside the vehicle, so it is recommended to check it thoroughly before returning it.

In case of return of the vehicle and cancellation of the contract before the scheduled date of termination, a partial refund of part of the reservation made will be considered, although the total unused portion of the rental will not be guaranteed.

AMPOSTA and TORTOSA offices: If you pick up the vehicle at any of our offices, you must return the vehicle at the same office. If no one from the staff is there, you can deposit the keys in the mailbox prepared for such cases, but you must call the contact telephone number and we will tell you the procedure to follow to park the vehicle safely and deposit the keys.

Deliveries and returns in ALOJAMIENTOSHotel, camping, rural house...etc : In case you pick up the vehicle at your accommodation, you can return the vehicle at the accommodation by prior agreement with BLAUCAR, you can leave the keys at the reception desk by prior agreement with the accommodation and our staff will pick it up as soon as possible.

The return of the vehicle will always take place in the same place where it was hired, to be able to return the vehicle in another place you will have to consult with our operators and face the possible costs and conditions of both delivery and return.

In the event of any accident or unforeseen incident that prevents the continuation of your journey, the contract is automatically terminated, so there is no right to any refund of the amount paid or the remaining days of the rental. Incidents involving tyres are always the responsibility of the driver, please check them on departure. Punctures are not covered under any circumstances.
